DICKINSON-Minot State scored the final 22 points of the game to rally past DickinsonState onSaturday in the conference opener for both teams.
Minot didn't take the lead until the fourth quarter when Layvester James scored from a yard out to close out an 11-play, 53-yard drive.
That put the Beavers ahead 25-21. Afield goal by Nik Levaich gave Minot its final three points.

VALLEY CITY (AP) - Josh Kittell threw for 243 yards and rushed for 83 more to lead Jamestown College to a 24-21 win over Valley City State Saturday in a nonconference game between Dakota Athletic Conference rivals.
The Jimmies (2-1) piled up 543 yards of total offense against the Vikings (2-1). Jay Tweed rushed for 132 yards on 21 carries. Kittell was 25-for-47 with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Valley City State quarterback Jason Bielke was equally effective, completing 20 of 29 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Chauncey Calhoun had eight catches for 189 yards and two scores.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Four interceptions by the vastly improved Minnesota defense, including a 50-yard return for a touchdown by Simoni Lawrence, helped the Gophers top Florida Atlantic 37-3 on Saturday and take an unbeaten record into the Big Ten season.
Rusty Smith was picked off once in each quarter after dismantling Minnesota last year for 463 yards and five touchdowns. After giving the ball away seven times in last season's loss to Florida Atlantic, the Gophers (4-0) have a 13-2 advantage in turnovers this year.
