DAC FOOTBALL: Blue Hawks beat Beavers for outright DAC title

MINOT (AP) - Dickinson State turned the tables on Minot State on Saturday, beating the Beavers 28-21 to win the Dakota Athletic Conference championship.

The Blue Hawks have won seven straight games since starting the season 0-3, including a 28-21 nonconference home loss to Minot State in week three.

Dickinson State trailed 21-14 at the half, but got two second-half TDs from Zach Hepperle and a defensive effort that held the Beavers to 235 total yards. Hepperle scored on a 25-yard pass from Brandon Bishop-Parise and a 3-yard run.

Hepperle ran for 70 yards and Bishop-Parise 65, including a 45-yard score.

The Blue Hawks had 371 yards of total offense with Bishop-Parise throwing for 202 yards.

Minot State got 107 yards and a 4-yard scoring run from Nick Banks.

JAMESTOWN (AP) - Josh Kittell threw for two scores and ran for another to lead Jamestown to the victory.

Kittell completed 20 of 31 passes for 260 yards. He tossed scoring passes of 11 yards to Jay Tweed and 16 yards to Brandon Judy. He also scored on a 1-yard run for the Jimmies.

Vikings quarterback Jason Beilke was 21-for-43 for 236 yards and two scores.

MAYVILLE (AP) - Andrew Fatten rushed for 228 yards and touchdowns of 60 and 43 yards to lead Dakota State.

Devin Gierszewski led the Comets in rushing with 97 yards on 14 carries.

T.J. Stanford passed for 143 yards, including a 5-yard TD pass to Chris Williams.
