That sentence was all Century coach Mark Adams could muster after his Patriots managed just 14 shots on goal as Bismarck High earned a 2-0 win.

Tom Mayer and Matt Vig scored for the Demons, while Greg Livermont and Travis Johnson collected assists.

"Mayer's got that quick little wrist shot," Bismarck coach Ken Erickson said.

Reed Grunseth stopped all 14 shots for the shutout, while the Patriots' Mike Bumann collected 22 saves.

50 years ago (1959): BOWMAN - In a Badlands Conference test of strength the Beach Bucs dropped St. Mary's of New England 50-43 in the Bowman Invitational.

In the second game, the Bowman Bulldogs turned back Lemmon, S.D., 59-42.

Bill Raisler paced Beach with 16 points. Neil Keohane had 11 and Jimmy Thompson 10.

Dwile Zeren had 11 points, and Dick Schnickel and Lee Schumacher each had 10 for the Saints.

Dean Mack had 17 points and Dennis Thompson 16 for Bowman.

Dennis Raney netted 16 for Lemmon.
