ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - Northern State University led all NCAA Division II schools in home attendance for both men's and women's basketball last season.
The NSU men averaged 3,270 fans at 18 home games. The NSU women averaged 2,483 fans at a dozen games, the NCAA said.
NSU's conference, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, finished third in both the men's and women's national attendance race by conference. NSIC schools averaged 1,378 fans per men's game and 727 per women's game.
The North Central Conference, which includes Augustana and the University of South Dakota, led both categories with 1,946 fans per men's game and 1,382 fans per women's game.

NDSCSATHLETICDIRECTOR SENTENCED FORDUI
WAHPETON (AP) - The athletic director at the North Dakota State College of Science has been sentenced for drunken driving.
A Wilkin County, Minn., judge ordered Jane Passa, of Barnesville, Minn., to serve one year unsupervised probation and pay a $707 fine for the misdemeanor conviction. A 29-day jail sentence was suspended for one year.
Passa, 41, was named athletic director at the Wahpeton college in May of 2007. She also serves as the school's head volleyball coach.
William Goetz, chancellor of the state university system, said he had spoken to College of Science President John Richman about the offense. Richman is following "proper procedure," said Goetz, who declined to give any details.
Passa and Richman could not be reached for comment.

WILLISTON - Matt Keller only had two official at bats in Mandan's first pool-play game at the Williston, but he made them count. Keller homered and doubled as the Chiefs beat the Regina Wolfpack 14-4 on Thursday.
Steve Serr also knocked in a pair of runs for Mandan, while Jay Flaa went the distance for the win. The will play Rapid City's split squad at 11 a.m. and Weyburn at 5:30 today.
