It's going to be a little while longer before Greg Eslinger knows what his next football uniform is going to look like.
Eslinger's name wasn't called in Saturday's first three rounds of the NFL draft, leaving his fate still up in the air entering today.
Eslinger was unavailable for comment following Saturday's portion of the draft.
There were 16 total offensive linemen taken through the first 97 picks of the draft - with the first being D'Brickashaw Ferguson by the Jets with the fourth overall pick.
Four centers were taken Saturday, led by Ohio State's Nick Mangold - who also was taken in the first round by the New York Jets with the 29th overall selection.
Two centers were picked in the second round, as the Minnesota Vikings took New Mexico's Ryan Cook with the 51st pick, and the Baltimore Ravens nabbed Oklahoma's Chris Chester with the 56th overall selection.
Jason Spitz of Louisville was the last center taken on the first day, as the Green Bay Packers selected him with the 75th overall pick.
Despite winning the both the Outland Trophy and Rimington Awards - the top two honors for a collegiate center - last season, Eslinger's stock entering the draft dropped because he was tagged as being on the small side for the position. The former Bismarck High standout checks in at 6-foot-2, 292 pounds.
Four of the last five Outland Trophy winners before Eslinger went in the first round. The last winner of the award to go on the second day was Washington State's Rien Long, who was taken in the fourth round with the 126th overall pick in the 2003 draft by the Tennessee Titans.
Nebraska's Aaron Taylor, the last center to win the award, was taken in the seventh round with the 190th overall selection in 1998 by the Indianapolis Colts.
Eslinger did have reason to be excited on Saturday, as one of his teammates went very high in the draft.
Minnesota running back Laurence Maroney was drafted in the first round by the New England Patriots. He was the 21st overall pick in the draft.
