DAKOTA JUNIOR GOLF SUMMER TOURNAMENTS: Open to boys and girls ages 10-18.

MARATHON

THUNDERBIRD HALF-MARATHON: Aug. 21, beginning and ending at United Tribes Technical College. Open to anyone age 14 and up able to complete 13.1-mile course in 3½ hours (16-minute per mile pace). Two competitive classes: Open division (ages 14-29) and masters division (40 and over). Early registration fee: $20. After Aug. 20: $25.

10K run-Open to participants ages 14 and over. 10K early registration: $15.

5K fun run-walk - Open to all ages. 5K fun walk-run early registration: $10.

Fun walk - Open to ages 4-13.

PARKS AND RECREATION DISTRICT

FLAG FOOTBALL COACHES, OFFICIALS NEEDED: Bismarck Parks and Rec is now accepting applications for coaches and officials for flag football league. Program runs Aug. 25-Oct. 4 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Grades 3-4 practice and play games 5-6 p.m. followed by grades 5-6 at 6-7 p.m. All practice and games at McQuade Complex on N. ROAD RACE
