50 years ago (1957): Bismarck came from behind to win a pair of American Legion Junior interdivisional contests from Jamestown. The first was a 6-4 win in five innings and the second 8-5 in 11 innings.

Bismarck committed seven errors behind Marv Dutt's four-hit pitching in the opener.

In the nightcap, Jamestown jumped to a 3-0 lead in the second, and added another run in the fourth, while Bismarck scored runs in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to trail 4-3 going into the top of the seventh. With two outs, and the bases full, Jim Larson doubled to put Bismarck ahead 5-4.
