The Marauders men beat the Beavers 82-66, while the U-Mary women handled Minot State 72-64.
For the Marauders men, Kurt Schwamp led the way with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Wes Kellogg collected 18 points and Nathan Goracke tallied 16, while P.J. Parker came through with 12 points.

Leingang added 19 points, while Todd Feland came through with 12. Ed Olson contributed six points and 11 rebounds.

50 years ago (1959): A poised Class B Beach five had the Mandan High School cagers reeling after 12 minutes of basketball in Mandan, but the Braves pulled themselves together and edged the Bucs 48-44.
Mandan's Jim Mann took high-point honors for the game with 17 points. Jake Martin added 14 for the Braves. Bill Ellison teamed with Martin and Mann to do a good job off the boards against their taller opponents. Ellison scored nine points.
Bill Raisler dumped in 13 points for the Bucs. Neil Keohane added 10.
