10 years ago (1998):Scheryl Kottsick had 12 kills and Mary Perrizo added eight kills and five aces as the Mandan Braves beat the Dickinson Midgets 3-1 in West Region volleyball action.
Amanda Dietrich collected 11 kills and 13 digs, while Kristi Barden collected four blocks and Jenny Levin dished out 15 assists for Mandan.
Lyndsey Greenwood and Erica Tangen had 12 kills each for Dickinson. Kelly Senn and Jackie Fadden collected 17 assists each, while Tangen had 20 digs.
20 years ago (1988): The first quarter virtually told the story. Sean Burian scored eight points. Jeff Schulz scored eight.
Meanwhile, Dickinson managed five. And, unfortunately for the Midgets, both Burian and Schulz played for Century.

50 years ago (1958): GARRISON - Max meets Turtle Lake and Underwood tangles with Garrison in the semifinal round of the McLean County Tournament.
In consolation play, Riverdale will play Mercer with Washburn and Wilton to meet in the second game.
In opening round action, Max stopped Riverdale 61-53, Turtle Lake tripped Mercer 51-43, Underwood belted Wilton 65-26 and Garrison halted Washburn 71-67.
Odean Wagner accounted for 18 points for the Knights.
Tom Ewing led the Trojans with 16 points.
Jim Martin netted 15 points for Underwood.
Larry Wulf poured in 39 points for Garrison.
