50 years ago (1958): MINOT - Underwood and Kulm will clash for the North Dakota state Class B championship.
Underwood's Comets downed the Beach Bucs, 54-49, and the Kulm Gophers stopped the Bottineau Braves, 58-54, to advance to the final round.
Jim Martin paced the Comets with 23 points, while Gary Thompson netted 20 for Beach.
Ron Sandau paced the Gophers with 18 points and Gary Berg had 23 for Bottineau.
In consolation play, John Butterfield scored 30 points as Hettinger stopped Minot Model.
