10 years ago (1998):BURLINGTON - Corey Samuelson found the end zone five times as Watford City took care of Des Lacs-Burlington 49-6 in high school football action.

Samuelson scored on runs of 4, 52, 9 and 25 yards and a 52-yard interception return.

David Tschetter scored on a 4-yard run for the Wolves, while Aaron Trauger returned an interception 56 yards for a score. Adam Tollefsrud kicked seven extra points.

Samuelson gained 133 yards on only 10 carries.

For Des Lacs-Burlington, Stephen Packulak hit Nathan Fagerland with a 45-yard touchdown pass.

20 years ago (1988): STEELE- Lisa Puklich made a layup and Steph Fettig added a free throw in the second overtime to lead the Steele-Dawson Pirates past Wing-Tuttle 44-40 in double overtime.

Puklich and Fettig paced the winning Pirates with 15 points apiece, while Holly Hochhalter chipped in eight.

Tami Vollmer led Wing-Tuttle with 14 points, while Liz Manley added eight and Janell Paul contributed seven points.

50 years ago (1958): ASHLEY - Leola, S.D., tripped the Ashley Aces 44-20 in a nonconference footblal game.

Richard Weber, Gleason Sackmann and Roger Dollinger scored touchdowns for the Aces. Weber on a 68-yard run and Dollinger on a 60-yard jaunt.
