Notes: Harris placed 29th at state last year as a freshman. … She was one of four freshmen among Century's top six players last season. The other three - McMillan, Aasen and Dvorak - were separated by a total of just three strokes on the entire season. … Harris will miss the season-opening Jamestown Invitational tournament due to an unusual injury. Harris was stung by a wasp and her hand swelled up. Gress said he expects her to miss only one tournament. … Century has never failed to qualify for the state tournament.

Dickinson Midgets

2007: First at West Region, 335; third at state, 669.

Notes: Dickinson lost the Class A senior athlete of the year, Chivas Beaudoin, to graduation. Beaudoin, the 2005 state champion, placed third at state last year. She had the lowest stroke average (76.3) in the state. … Shayna Mann, who was fourth in the West in stroke average and placed 10th at state, also graduated. … Chelsey Galipeau, who was 14th last year, is out for the season after tearing a ligament in her wrist during tennis. … The Midgets, who won six of eight tournaments last year, still have some firepower. Dunn was seventh in the region in scoring average (84.5) and Jenna Wellenstein was 13th (91.1). … Dickinson has qualified for state 11 years in a row.

Jamestown Blue Jays

Montgomery (82.9) and Mickayla Nagel (84.3) finished fifth and sixth last season. Mackenzie Nagel (88.5) was tied for 11th and Bender 15th (92.3). … Montgomery tied for 13th at state.

Turtle Mountain Bravettes
