Wizards 103, D-Fenders 101

LOS ANGELES Renaldo Major tipped in a loose ball with 0.2 seconds remaining to give the Dakota Wizards a 103-101 victory over the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Friday.

Major finished with a game-high 22 points to lead Dakota. Teammate Alfred Neale came off the bench to knock down five 3-pointers for a total of 15 points.

Quemont Greer added 20 for the Wizards. Dontell Jefferson chipped in with 13 and Kevin Lyde and Brandon Armstrong added 10 apiece.

Jackie Manuel led the D-Fenders with 20 points. T.J. Cummings added 19, Brian Chase 17, Butter Johnson 15, Jason McKreith 11 and Andre Patterson 10.

The D-Fenders made a second-half surge to get back into the game. The D-Fenders outscored the Wizards 54-47 in the second half. They trailed by as many as 14 in the final quarter. Los Angeles tied the contest at 101 with 1:02 to play.

The Wizards improved to 10-3 overall. Los Angeles dropped to 9-7.
