Kaniel Dickens of the Dakota Wizards might be getting another crack at the NBA, this time with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Dickens, who spent several weeks with the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this season, is getting an official 48-hour tryout with the Lakers. Within two days the Lakers must decide whether to sign Dickens, likely to a 10-day contract, according to Wizards general manager Alex Geche.

While with the Blazers Dickens appeared in three games, scoring seven points in 12 minutes.

Dickens, a 6-8 forward, is averaging 18.6 points in 18 games with the Wizards, and is fifth in the CBA in scoring. He is also averaging 6.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

Dickens was not with the Wizards for their game in Idaho on Tuesday and will not be with the team tonight in Yakima, either. Geche said that if the Lakers do not sign Dickens, he could be back in time for Friday's home game against Rockford.
