All-Region Team

GRAND FORKS Bismarck native Weston Dressler was one of seven members of the University of North Dakota football team to be named to the 2006 Daktronics, Inc. Division II All-Northwest Region Football Team.

Dressler was one of five UND players named to the first team. Also named to the first team were Mitch Braegelmann (St. Cloud, Minn.), Ryan Chappell (Grand Forks), Adam Wolff (Dell Rapids, S.D.) and Steve Brennan (West Fargo).

UND players named to the second team were Jared Enger (St. Paul, Minn.) and Dan Ullsperger (Menomonee Falls, Wis.).

COLUMBIA, Mo. Three players from College of St. Mary registered double digits in kills to defeat Dickinson State in Pool E of the 2006 NAIA National Championships here Wednesday.

St. Mary won by scores of 30-24, 27-30, 30-22, 21-30, 16-14.

Nancy Nyongesa led Dickinson with 23 kills and Elizabeth Castillo added 16. Setter KateLynn Stiefel handed out 51 assists.

Dickinson continues pool play today. The Blue Hawks match up with the Savannah College of Art and Design at 1:30 p.m. and Madonna University at 8:15 p.m.
