EIGHT O'CLOCK ROCK

The University of Mary men's and women's basketball teams will tip off the season with the 8 O'Clock Rock basketball celebration today. Festivities are set to begin at 8 p.m. the McDowellActivity Center.

There will be free food, music and contests. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

The University of Mary women's soccer team rebounded from an overtime loss to beat Minnesota-Crookston 4-2 on Sunday.

Danielle Mello scored two goals and had an assist, while Becky Beall and Jessica Janusz also found the back of the net for the Marauders.

Brannigan Coyle made four saves and added two assists, while Shanda Lester tallied an assist.

After losing to York (Neb.) 3-0 on Saturday, the Marauders dropped a 6-1 decision to Doane (Neb.) on Sunday.
