Former Minnesota Twins great and Hall of Famer, Harmon Killebrew will be the keynote speaker for the God's Child Project Dinner tonight at the Ramkota Hotel in Bismarck. ABERDEEN, S.D. - The University of Mary got solid pitching from Hatty Rossow and Sarah Moder in a softball doubleheader sweep of Northern State on Thursday.
Rossow tossed a three-hit shutout in the opener, won by the Marauders 5-0. The sophomore struck out seven and walked none.
Leslie Benavidez went 3-for-3 to lead a 10-hit U-Mary attack. She also drove in a run as did Meghan Ward, Sara Naglosky and Kaitlin Richardson.
In the second game, Moder allowed a run on five hits to lead the Marauders to a 3-1 victory and the sweep.
Moder, a junior, walked one and fanned five.
At the plate, Richardson singled twice and drove in a pair of runs. Benavidez singled in U-Mary's other run.

JAMESTOWN - Jamestown swept a pair of West Region baseball games from visiting St. Mary's on Thursday.
The Blue Jays took the first game 6-5 after scoring three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Saints had taken a 5-3 lead in the top of the eighth.
Kyle Walden led Jamestown's seven-hit attack with two singles. Zach Klabo and Tom Seifert had two hits apiece for St. Mary's.
In the nightcap, Jamestown opened up a 2-0 lead and held on for a 6-4 victory to complete the sweep.
Ross Hogan went 2-for-3 with a double for the Blue Jays. Jon Herold singled twice and scored for the Saints.

Awards
MAR CLUB HONORS
Mandan High School's Jessica Kielpinski and Justin Beholavek have been named senior athletes of the year by the MAR Club.
Kielpinski was named Miss Basketball after leading the Braves to their fifth consecutive Class A state championship. She also was an all-state selection in volleyball and is excelling in track and field.
Beholavek was named as a Mr. Basketball finalist after averaging 25 points per game for the Braves. In football, he was one of the top wide receivers in the West Region, earning all-region honors. He also is a top-notch hurdler in track and field.
