Warkenthien, Woodside chosen MVPs

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Jennifer Warkenthien of South Dakota State and Ben Woodside of North Dakota State were chosen most valuable players in the Summit League championships.

Warkenthien had 23 points and 11 rebounds in SDSU's championship win over Oakland, Mich., on Tuesday. Woodside's 17-foot jumper with 3 seconds left gave NDSU its win over Oakland. He finished with 17 points.

Others named to the all-tournament team chosen by media were Jill Young of SDSU, Jessica Pike of Oakland, Jernisha Cann of IUPUI, and Katie Birkel of North Dakota State.

The men's all-tournament team included Brett Winkelman of NDSU, and Keith Benson, Johnathon Jones and Erik Kangas of Oakland.

The Summit League tournament had record attendance of 34,681: 17,682 at four men's sessions and 16,999 at the four women's sessions.
