FARGO (AP) - A Texas man charged in North Dakota in a bogus bank trading program wants to pack up his recreational vehicle and move home.
Verlin Swartzendruber of Laredo, Texas, has pleaded not guilty in federal court to 11 felony counts, including money laundering and wire fraud. He has been living in a Minnesota campground since being arraigned in July.
Swartzendruber says the RV park is shutting down for the winter and doctors say he needs to live in warmer climate because of a heart condition. Prosecutors are opposed to the move.
A judge has not ruled on the motion. Trial in the case is set for March 9.
