FARGO (AP) - Barbara Henry has been selected to serve on the board of directors of Forum Communications Co.

Henry, 56, lives in Indianapolis and recently retired as senior group president of Gannett Co.'s Interstate and Mid-South Newspaper groups. She also was president and publisher of The Indianapolis Star.

Henry joined Gannett in 1974 in Reno, Nev. She worked as an editor and publisher at six Gannett newspapers. She also worked at USA Today during the launch of the newspaper in 1982.

Forum Communications owns 35 newspapers in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin as well as four television stations and commercial printing operations in North Dakota and Minnesota; and is an Internet service provider.
