ARGUSVILLE (AP) - Cass County authorities say they caught a man wanted in Iowa after surrounding a mobile home Tuesday morning.
James Hodson, of Marshalltown, Iowa, had fled that state after being sentenced to prison on a charge of willful injury, Sheriff Paul Laney said. The charge is similar to an aggravated assault charge in North Dakota, he said.
Sheriff's Capt. Rick Majerus said authorities got word that Hodson might be headed to Canada, and on Tuesday got a tip that he was in an Argusville mobile home with his 12-year-old son.
After Hodson failed to respond when officers tried to contact him, they surrounded the mobile home, Laney said. Hodson, who was not armed, was arrested as he and his son tried to run out the back door, Laney and Majerus said.
"We had the trailer surrounded with a fairly tight perimeter. He only made it about 20 feet and just gave up," Majerus said.
