UND fans marry at hockey arena
GRAND FORKS (AP) - Two University of North Dakota hockey fans have become the first couple to be married at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
Karissa Stenseth and Larry Iverson tied the knot Friday in a luxury box.
"This is the first marriage we've had here," said Julie Frey, manager of suites and catering operations for the arena. "We've had plenty of proposals and wedding receptions, but never a wedding."
Minister Anthony Vigness came dressed in a Fighting Sioux hockey jersey, matching much of the family. The bride and groom wore Sioux sweaters.
"This is appropriate because I don't think either Karissa or Larry have ever missed a game," said Laurie Seim, the groom's sister.
The newlywed Iversons are planning a more elaborate ceremony later this month in Cancun, Mexico.
