North Dakota's Industrial Commission has hired Justin Kringstad as the new director of the state Pipeline Authority.
Kringstad is a Bismarck resident. He earned a geological engineering degree from the University of North Dakota last year.
He'll be in charge of helping to plan and encourage pipeline development in the state. North Dakota's oil and gas industry relies on pipelines to transport crude oil and natural gas.
