GRAND FORKS (AP) - The Anne Carlsen Center, a Jamestown-based center that helps children with disabilities or behavioral disorders, has held a grand opening ceremony for its new office in Grand Forks.
The center's family resource director, Rhonda Eppelsheimer, says the Anne Carlsen Center seeks to bring resources closer to the people whose lives are affected by autism or other behavioral and medical conditions. Similar offices are planned in other cities in the state.
Carlsen, who was born without fully developed arms and legs, was a teacher, principal and administrator of the Jamestown campus for more than 40 years. She died in 2002.
