WAHPETON (AP ) - Richland County officials say an explosion at a sugar beet plant injured two workers.

Officials say a machine exploded late Friday night at the Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative, trapping the workers in the plant north of Wahpeton.

Emergency workers rescued the employees and took them to a hospital. The extent of the workers' injuries has not been released.
