DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota wildlife managers are expecting a fair to good opening weekend for duck hunting.
The duck hunting season opens at 9 a.m. Saturday. There's a six-duck daily limit during the 60-day season. But there are restrictions this year on several duck species.
Steve Cordts, a waterfowl specialist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, says many blue-winged teal have already left the state.
But he says mallard and wood duck numbers are about average.
