OWATONNA, Minn. (AP) - Authorities continue to investigate the death of a 2-year-old boy who was struck by a car in Owatonna.
The boy's name hasn't been released. Owatonna Police Capt. Eric Rethemeier says the boy was hit Sunday morning on the 900 block of North Elm Avenue.
Rethemeier declined to say who was driving. He says the boy's parents were at the scene.
Authorities provided first aid and the boy was taken by ambulance to Owatonna Hospital. He died there from his injuries.
Rethemeier says it doesn't appear that road conditions or alcohol were factors.
Rethemeier declined to provide more information until the investigation is complete.
