The National Weather Service says Bismarck, Grand Forks and Fargo were hit with record rain levels on Labor Day.
The weather service says the Bismarck airport had 1.15 inches of rain on Monday, breaking the old mark of .72 set in 1986.
Fargo received 2.5 inches of rain, up from 2.32 set back in 1999. And Grand Forks got 1.67 inches of rain, breaking the old mark of .98 set in 1957.
Vern Roller, a weather service technician in Bismarck, says most of the state got at least some rain on Labor Day.
