Dickinson's financially ailing hospital has been approved for a demonstration program that will increase Medicare reimbursement rates.
Gov. John Hoeven and the state's congressional delegation say St. Joseph's Hospital is in line for $1.3 million more in Medicare reimbursements over the next two years.
The money comes from a federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services program.
St. Joseph's is owned by Catholic Health Initiatives. It has been working to pare down $13 million in debt in the past six years.
