JAMESTOWN (AP) - Police are looking for a man who robbed a Jamestown bank at gunpoint late Tuesday afternoon.

Police Sgt. Thomas Nagel said the man got away with an undetermined amount of cash from the Gate City Bank about 5:15 p.m. No one was hurt.

The man was described as about 6 feet tall and about 265 pounds. Police said he may have left the area in a small, older dark car with North Dakota license plate HOD-290.

Highway Patrol Lt. Eldon Mayer said the suspect was wearing dark clothes and a ski mask and had a small, silver-colored handgun.

Marion Koolman of Wimbledon said she was going into the bank about the time of the robbery, and met others leaving.

Koolman said she saw some boots going over the counter.

"So I turned around and went back to my car," she said. "A few minutes later, this guy came out carrying a sack and took off walking across the parking lot."
