MOUNTAIN (AP) - The company building the $5 billion Keystone Pipeline through eastern North Dakota has donated $15,000 to the city of Mountain for a proposed community center.
The donation from the TransCanada Corp. moves the fundraising campaign past the 75 percent mark.
The $1.5 million community center project has been awarded more than $700,000 in federal grants, and has raised more than $430,000 in matching funds including $75,000 from the country of Iceland. The Mountain area has a rich Icelandic heritage.
