OAKES (AP) - Police say a 3-year-old boy accidentally accelerated an all-terrain vehicle while riding on the machine with an adult, and was killed after the vehicle struck a house and rolled.

The name of the boy has not yet been released.

Police Chief Mark Roberts said the crash happened Sunday. He said the 3-year-old suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead at the Oakes hospital.
