GRAFTON (AP) - Thirty-five residents of the North Dakota Veterans Home are being moved from Lisbon to the state Developmental Center in Grafton to ensure their safety during the area's flood fight.
Center director Alex Schweitzer says the 35 are from the Veterans Home basic care center. He says about 12 of the home's staff members will also be going to Grafton.
It's not the first time the Developmental Center has been used to house flood evacuees. Schweitzer says more than 50 people from Fargo group homes were temporarily relocated to the Grafton developmental center earlier.
