GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - The Canadian Forces Snowbirds aerial demonstration team will return to the skies above Malmstrom Air Force Base on May 17 and 18.
The second show will take place a year to the day after Capt. Shawn McCaughey, 31, was killed in a crash at the base on May 18, 2007.
McCaughey's plane plummeted during practice for an air show scheduled a day later as part of the annual Malmstrom Open House. The Snowbirds suspended their season for several weeks before resuming their performance schedule.
They plan two full aerial demonstrations at Malmstrom this year.
