FARGO (AP) - Dry pea and lentil acreage in North Dakota is down just slightly this year.
The Agriculture Department estimates peas at 510,000 acres, down from 515,000 acres last year and the record 610,000 acres two years ago.
Lentils are estimated at 100,000 acres, down from last year's 110,000 acres and the record 160,000 acres two years ago.
North Dakota leads the nation in the production of both peas and lentils.
