MINOT (AP) - Jurors were shown pictures of a bloody body and a scythe found at the crime scene in the second day of testimony in the trial of two men charged in the death of another man last summer.

Antonio Stridiron, 31, is charged with murder in the shooting death 27-year-old Joshua Velasquez last July 29 in an alley in Minot.

Bradley Davis, 27, is accused of hitting Velasquez several times with a scythe.

Minot Police officer Shannon Lackey testified on Friday and showed the scythe to jurors. She was the first to arrive at the crime scene last summer.

Davis's attorney, Josh Rustad, objected to showing the scythe, saying his client is not on trial for murder. Judge Douglas Mattson allowed the evidence but reminded the jury that Davis is charged with aggravated assault.

Some of the crime scene pictures showed multicolored dreadlocks near the body of Velasquez. Lackey said they were same color dreadlocks Davis had the night of the incident.

Davis, who is free on bond, arrived 20 minutes late to court on Friday. Mattson told Davis that he could end up in jail if he showed up late again.
