The state Public Service Commission says the amount of licensed grain storage in North Dakota is up about 30 million bushels from a year ago.
The total licensed capacity stood at 315 million bushels on August 1, up from 285.7 million bushels the previous year. In November 2007, storage levels reached a record 343.5 million bushels.
Officials say North Dakota has 394 licensed grain facilities, which is two fewer than a year ago.
The PSC says there were 66 licensed roving grain buyers on August 1. That's up eight from a year ago.
