NEW TOWN (AP) - A car was struck head-on by a van west of New Town, killing all three people in the car and seriously injuring three in the van, the Highway Patrol says.

The patrol said the crash happened Friday morning on state Highway 23, about four miles west of New Town in McKenzie County.

Authorities said charges are pending against the driver of the van.

Killed were 17-year-old Lynae Crowe, the driver of the car, and two passengers, 6-month-old Jayden Crowe of Mandaree and 47-year-old Dorene Standish of Killdeer.

The patrol said the van driven by 56-year-old Randolf Lonefight of Mandan crossed into the wrong lane and struck the car head-on.

Lonefight and two passengers, 59-year-old Harold Bolman of Mandaree and 47-year-old Cornelius Everett of Underwood, were taken to Minot's Trinity hospital with severe injuries, the patrol said.
