WILLISTON (AP) - Miss America Kirsten Haglund will headline the Miss North Dakota pageant in Williston in June.

The announcement was made by pageant organizers and by Miss North Dakota Ashley Young and Miss Montana Kristin Mantooth.

Haglund, a Michigan native, is on a national speaking tour to raise awareness of eating disorders, promote the Miss America organization and help the Children's Miracle Network.

She is to perform at the Miss North Dakota pageant June 12. Twenty women will compete for the state title.

Organizers say she will be the first Miss America to attend the state pageant.
