DEVILS LAKE (AP) - The president of the Devils Lake School Board says the School District plans to put a proposed school addition to voters on March 31.
The 22,500-square-foot Sweetwater project would add classroom and gym space to the elementary school. The architect estimates the cost of the basic project at about $4 million.
Extras and upgrades would add more than $1 million, but Board President Ed Brown says voters won't be asked to approve the more expensive plan. He believes the bids will come in close to the basic estimate.
If the March bond issue is successful, construction could start in June and be finished by fall 2010.
