FARGO (AP) - Investigators from nine Fargo-area law enforcement agencies have been comparing notes on business burglaries.
Sheriffs' departments in Cass and Richland counties in North Dakota and in Clay, Norman, Otter Tail and Wilkin counties in Minnesota, as well as police from Fargo, West Fargo and Ada, Minn., were represented at a meeting Friday.
They say the recent burglaries have cost some businesses thousands of dollars, and the crimes appear similar. They may have at least one suspect.
West Fargo Detective Greg Warren says some businesses are having a tough time making ends meet, so there's not a lot to take.
Authorities are asking people to check for anything suspicious. They say comparing even small details may help solve the case.
