GARRISON (AP) - Garrison's Dickens Village Festival is celebrating its 15th year.

The event turns a community of 1,500 into a Victorian town from the era of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."

It runs three consecutive weekends after Thanksgiving in the town that dubs itself the "official Christmas capital of North Dakota."

Highlights range from street vendors to carolers to an English double-decker bus that gives tours. Dick Messerly, one of the organizers, says it's a neat way for local people to celebrate Christmas.
