WAHPETON (AP) - A rural Lidgerwood farmer has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder.

Jeffrey Kabella is accused of shooting at one of his neighbors in May.

The neighbor was about halfway onto Kabella's driveway when a rifle shot was fired, striking the dashboard in the neighbor's car. He was not injured.

Kabella's attempted murder trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 23.

During the shooting investigation, stolen dog food and a trailer were found on Kabella's property.

Kabella also was charged with possession of stolen property. He has pleaded guilty to that charge.
