MINOT (AP) - A stolen car and a truck collided after the car failed to yield at an intersection, killing the driver of the car, police said.
The name of the 30-year-old Minot man was not immediately released. Police said the car had been reported stolen Monday from a car rental business.
Officers said the truck driven by Darreld Scott, 56, of Burlington, was traveling west on U.S. 2 when it struck the car, at about 7 a.m., Tuesday, after the car's driver failed to yield. Both vehicles went into the ditch.
Scott was taken to Minot's Trinity hospital to be treated for injuries. Police said the driver of the car also was taken to Trinity and pronounced dead.
