FARGO (AP) - A Fargo man has pleaded guilty to a felony child abuse charge for incidents that left his 3-month-old son with multiple skull fractures and broken ribs.

Authorities say 39-year-old Corey Cowdrey initially denied hurting the boy but later admitted to dropping the infant headfirst and to hitting the baby when he wouldn't stop crying.

Cowdrey could face up to 10 years in prison. Sentencing has not been set.
