RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A no-nonsense federal game warden at Pierre will not be fired or reassigned.
An internal investigation by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has cleared Robert Prieksat of misconduct allegations, said Gary Mowad, FWS regional law enforcement supervisor in Lakewood, Colo.
But Mowad said Prieksat will spend less time in the field checking hunters and more time in the office supervising federal wildlife officers in South Dakota, North Dakota and Nebraska.
"Bob has volunteered to concentrate more on his supervisory responsibilities in those states and will be spending less time in the field," Mowad said Monday.
