The state Board of Medical Examiners says it has revoked the licenses of two doctors who were suspended earlier.

The board said in a statement that it revoked the licenses of Jacquelyn McKenzie, of Minot, and Robert VanSteenkiste, who practiced in Wishek.

McKenzie, a pathologist, was sentenced to jail in January for possession of cocaine.

VanSteenkiste was charged with acquiring a controlled substance by deception and attempting to acquire a controlled substance by deception. The medical board said VanSteenkiste pleaded guilty to the felony charges and was given a deferred sentence. He was accused of writing a prescription for someone else so he could get a painkiller for his own use.

The board also said it removed restrictions on the medical license of Dr. Alan Lindemann, of Wishek. His license was suspended in 2000 for two years, and he met the conditions for reinstatement, the board said.

Lindemann, a former Fargo gynecologist, admitted having sex with a patient and improperly giving drugs to others. He won reinstatement of his license in 2003 but the board ordered him to have a nurse present during patient examinations, give the board full access to his patient medical records and undergo psychotherapy.
