Work is finished on a new panel for the All Veterans Memorial on the state Capitol grounds.

The panel in the memorial's northeast corner includes the names of North Dakotans killed in action since the early 1990s.

Families have been asking for the names to be added. National Guard spokesman Bill Prokopyk says it shows how much North Dakotans value those who "gave the ultimate sacrifice."

The memorial has about 4,400 names. The second phase of the project will correct about 500 mistakes that have been discovered through the years.
