MOTT ( AP)- Frank Miller bought two 1979 four-wheel pedal tractors for his grandsons at an auction, and his interest grew in the smaller tractors designed for children.

Miller now is the curator of the Mott Pedal Tractor Museum, a building containing a collection of more than 220 pedal tractors, along with his collection of more than 2,000 tractor toys.

The museum is one of the highlights of this week's Tractor Fest in Mott.

The average pedal tractor is about 30 inches long and 18 inches wide.

"I've measured a lot of them," Miller said with a laugh. "It makes it easier for me to fix them."

Miller has restored more than a third of his collection. He also enjoys building pedal tractor pieces to proper scale.

The collection continues to grow as Miller travels the country visiting toy shows and auctions.
