DICKINSON (AP) - Police believe a former employee of a Burger King restaurant in Dickinson has left the state after taking $2,000 from the restaurant safe.

Authorities say they've issued a warrant for 19-year-old Cody Rocha.

Police Detective Kylan Klauzer says Rocha is believed to have headed for Nevada or Minneapolis. He says Rocha worked at the Burger King for three or four weeks.

Klauzer says Rocha came from Nevada with a friend to work in the oil fields.

Burger King employees discovered the burglary Dec. 2, when they found the safe open and empty.

Klauzer said there were no signs of a break-in and Rocha is believed to have entered the restaurant through an unlocked window.
